Celebrity House Tour: 20-Year-Old Terrace House Makeover in Asia’s Modern Contemporary Home!

My first suggestion for a modern Asian kitchen is to incorporate natural materials and textures. This can be done by using wood for the cabinets and countertops, bamboo for the flooring, and stone for the backsplash. Additionally, you can add pops of color with accessories like rugs, artwork, and pottery. To complete the look, consider adding a few Asian-inspired elements like a lantern-style light fixture, a decorative wall panel, or a unique piece of furniture. Finally, don’t forget to add some greenery to the space with plants or flowers.

ASIA’S MODERN CONTEMPORARY HOME| 20 YEAR-OLD TERRACE HOUSE MAKEOVER! CELEBRITY HOUSE TOUR| MANGATA 2025

Hello this is alex from new infinity today’s episode on design seats we’re going to share with you how we turn a 20 year old terrace house into a modern contemporary home the client are both young couples that travel back and forth from malaysia to singapore

And what they wanted is to have a home in malaysia that gives them a very cozy and welcoming wife that when they come home they feel very comfortable reciting it Um Like The first thing i wanted to do with this house was to tear down all the unnecessary walls all these walls made the space so cluttered so rigid and the first thing i wanted to tear down was the staircase walls after tearing down the staircase walls it made the entire

Staircase floating within the center of the home Other than staircase wall i also tap down one bedroom and turn that into a dry kitchen space by demolishing all these walls down i made the dry kitchen area more noticeable and it naturally became more brighter On the rear side of the house i want to block up the windows that could be visually disturbing because i could literally look into the neighbor’s house so there was a part where i decided let’s cover that area up but that would mean i have no more

Windows so what did i do with that i was convincing humay to understand what i could do with this space was to cover up all those windows and then convince her to go with the sky like a bird by blocking up the window behind now we have full privacy from the neighbors

And yet with the skylake above we have ample natural lighting penetrating into the interior space One of the tricks we applied to the space planning was to merge the dry kitchen together with the wet kitchen so dividing this area we use a sliding door to close the area so that when this cooking the oil and the smoke and the smell could be contained within

The vacation but when you open up the sliding door you make the entire kitchen a very large impression it makes the entire dry kitchen and the wet kitchen feel now like a huge kitchen with a very comfortable island As you enter the home we wanted to have a very inviting and cozy living hole so what we did here was we played with colors that became more neutral so it’s rather comfortable when you step into the space the next thing that we played was we made the entire tv feature wall

To go all the way up this makes the impression of the ceiling height slightly higher than the usual the l-shaped sofa maximizes the seating capacity of the living hole but yet does not make the entire living hole too cluttered or too congested we also managed to fit in a lounge chair that

Gives the living hall a bit more tasteful character we enjoy reflecting our clients character into our design elements we me and husband shares a very cheerful and modest personality so when we designed their headbots we did not want to go with the usual a mixture of materials and irregular composition

Made this headboard design more than yet classy the selection of hanging lamps gave the bedside table more room to be functional and still created an elegant touch that complements the headboard design the wardrobe has a magnet lighting feature that only lights up when the doors are open this makes finding your clothes more

Convenient because as we all know when ladies find clothes it may be like finding a needle in a haystack for this bedroom we faced a challenge where the headboard was placed at the wall that did not give us enough width so how we tackled the issue was by extending the headboard feature

With a steel divider that blends well as part of the headboard design and yet this gives us the other side of the divider an interesting feature that’s pleasing to look at as we all may have guessed the first thing we need to do in a 20-year-old house

Would be to make over the toilets we played with fun feature tiles that again portrays the design elements that inspire us from the client’s artsy character selecting bright colors and implementing unique mirror and lighting design makes the home transformation more obvious If you enjoyed the content to this video do subscribe to us on design seats or you could also catch us on facebook or instagram my name is alex lee thank you for Watching You
